how i become a crazy fan of cricket

I was watching the IPL match in the night till 3:00 SGT, don’t even caring that I have office at 6:30 am in the morning..One week back I took a sick leave to watch IPL match RCB vs kings XI, RCB is my favourite team…
Let me tell you the story that how I become a crazy fan of cricket,
i will go to the flash back on october 1991
I am following this game since october 1991,I was 9 year 10 months old at the time and I was studying in holy mother school (mid of the 5th std ) in a small town/city called hassan in karnataka.Its on october 1991, we just finished the october holidays and the school was sarted… Its been the boring to go school after the holidays as well… On 23th october 1991, I just finished my school and I came back to the home in school-auto..… My home is always crowded whenever the cricket match is going on, bcoz in our negihbourhood only our house has the television. Its just 14' inch Black and white and the brand is EC TV (i never seen that brand TV apart from our home ). As soon as I enter home, I can hear the voice of "oooh" "thoo" "ayyooo" etc , When I saw the TV there was the cricket match going on, ravi shastri just dismissed after scoring the billiant 77 ..it was sharjah cup match INDIA vs PAKISTAN and Till that day I was not fan cricket, I have seen crcket coming on TV, but I never showed any intrested before, but on that I don’t know why I sit in the hall and just seeing everyones expression and match. Immidiately ofter the ravi shastri dismisss, Azharudin dismissed in next ball… As I know azharuddin is the most hated person in our locality, my neighbour senior guys/ elder boys always scold him saying that he intentionally wont play well against pakistan.Only player I know till that day was kapil dev, because he comes in for the boost advertisement ( he says "boost is the secret of my energy " in between other guys comes and say in the advertisement "its our enery" in the add, I Wasn't know who is that guy saying "its our energy" in that add but later come to know he is "sachin tendulkar " and in india cricket )Soon after 2 wkts ( shastri and azhar ) fall down. My mother went to kitchen and preparing the bournvita for me and coffee for her, bcoz according to the parents, I was the kid and I shouldnot drink the coffee . even I was 9 year old at the time, my mom doesn't even know that I grown enough that, I had a crush at the time with my classmate / auto mate "archana " ( I'l tell about her in m coming blogs ).As I enjoying the atmposhere of the audience in my home, I do started getting in involved into the game. Manjrekar got dissmissed, then immediate after the next ball, kapil dev got out LBW.. I wasn't know what is LBW and why they give out for that also… Finally match was ended and india lost the match by 4runs, I cannot forgot that day, that day made me a crazy fan of cricket, it remain as the most memorable day in my life. That day made me to start dreaming to become the cricketers. That day I become a crazy fan of sachin tendulkar. I just found out the scorecard of that match is cricinfo.. :) http://www.cricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/65945.html All the people were disappointed because india lost the match to pakistan, but everyone talking that india will beat pak in the final, which was schedule after 2 days (25th october 1991 ).Next day after coming home I changed my uniform and went outside near the ground ( empty plot ) in our street, Where all the senior people ( means age between 15-18 yrs old ) were playing the gully cricket. even I also know how to play cricket at the time, But they were not allowing me to join and play, bcoz they feel I am small kid and I cannot match the game frequency for their standard.I Was watching how they are playing the game and how they are batting / running / felding etc.. After sometime, sunsets in the west, I can seee my shadow very very long since I was sitting on top of the compound and sun was behind me ..I was enjoying watching those gully cricket the way those people playing, arguing for the wide ball/ run out etc etc…. There is a guy called "sampath" who is star bastmen in our neighbourhood.He was the role model for me..always the sampath's team is winning the match.. Its been getting darker and darker, everyone gathered near the compound which is near the edge of the ground ( plot/site ) and I was already stitting above the compound.They started talking about the cricket match final india vs pakistan in the next day. Few of them were telling that since the next day is Friday, pakistan wont loosee the match, they always win the match.. I was enjoying the converstion of those young guys in our neighbourhood. On the next day as soon as I get down from the auto, I ran towards the home and just gone nears the hall and saw.. I saw my mom my neighbour and others,Everybodys face was fully dull. When I asked how they are playing.. They said, azhar duck, sachin duck and aqid javed took hat rick ( wickets shastri/sachin/azhar ). I wasn't know the meaning of hatrick..I asked what is the meaning of hatrick, I hear 3 continues wicket in 3 continues ball.. I was completely shock and disappointed and at the end india lost the match, imran khan wa lifting the trophy.. So.. Mine crazyness of cricket start will the unlucky mascot for india at the time.. Since then means from october 1991 to till a date am following the game of cricket, sachin is still playing its just been wonderful that I grown up by watching him playing and still He is playing and still he is awesome.. Now its been the new era of cricket T20 IPL, excited to see the RCB going in the winning path.

IPL Go Green campaign doesn't make any sense..

The IPL season is going on all around.. As I can see in this season of IPL3, They are showing "go green IPL" campaign for less use of plastic and less use of electricity. When IPL committe promoting the go green, did they think about the games that they are playing under the flood light ? For eg: for each match that they played under the light will consumes more than 10,000 KW of power. It was a fact that for one unit of power generated, 0.700 kg of coal was consumed and the same emitted 1.25 to 1.50 k.g. of carbon dioxide in the air. And they are playing 45 days of cricket and 80% of the matches are played under the flood light. Is the BCCI, IPL and ICC are worth of promoting the "UNO's Go Green " to protect the earth ? I believe since the IPL is franchise based cricket, They look for the TRP ratings, which they can get only when it played in nightBcoz the viewership will be more in the night compare to day. But they should have moved the timings in the weekends..

Hello everyone…. After a very very very long time, I finally started writing the blog.. I was planed to start a year back, but end up by starting today..Now its around 5 AM in the morning, sittting in the office working, hoping to see the clock ticks 6:30 AM( the time my shift over ) Opposite to my desk, 2 of my collegues doing the same thing, looks like partially slept.. Behind to mine seat, A guy listening to some "SHIT" music through the earphone and it is so load that I can easily listen to songs.. This is how I started writing the blog, I hope I will continues to write for very long period and want to see people reading my blog.. 2 time in my life I wrote the diary, somehow I manage to write for couple for months, but unable to continue for long time bcoz I didn't get the proper time to focus and write.. Let me intraduce myself, am Santhosh a B.E graduate in electronic and communication, completed my engg 6 years ago.. As usual in india every engineer end up by becoming so called "software engineer" as I believe it as "Mulitnational IT labour". I can say am also one among them..
currently working in singapore, i am working in singapore since past 3 years..
doing the same work with the same role :)
nothing got changed in my life in singapore, everyhting remains the same since the day 1 in singapore to till a date..
